Robert G. Schock - Medical Malpractice Lawyer, Oakland, CA

More Medical Malpractice Videos

Medical Malpractice is a large problem, and over 90 percent of doctors sued win their cases. But not in the case of Oakland Lawyer Robert G. Shock . Bob Schock represented the plaintiff, A'Daja Daniels -- a then-seven year old child (who's now 14 years old). He won a judgement of over $800,000, when he was expecting perhaps $300,000, but the jury was swayed by the severity of damage caused to her by doctor error and the impact it has on her ability to reach her economic potential, or to put it another way, to gain money from the best job for her. In this video, Bob talks about the case and his law practice. Bob's office is at 1970 Broadway in Oakland. His phone number is 839-7722 and website is http://www.legalpros.org Also see: http://oaklandfocus.blogspot.com/2007/09/robert-g-schock-personal-injury-lawyer.html

90 percent of doctors sued win their cases because most medical malpractice lawsuits are frivolous and just attempts to hit a jackpot. Bad outcomes can happen without negligence.

You are an idiot and don't know what the hell you're saying. 80 to 100,00 people in the US are negligently killed each year. That's more people that die from drunken drivers, cancer, and and the 18,000 uninsured people in Michael Moor's "Sicko."

jjschwartz1229 is correct. The medical malpractice industry is a glorified lottery for the attornies and less so for the "victims". Most cases are frivolous and filed in hopes of a settlement prior to going to trial. Insurance companies often find it less expensive to settle than to undergo the time and expense (and risk) of a trial. Legitimate cases go to trial or are settled without much resistance.
